We’ve been to the CosmoCaixa science museum earlier today and have seen this mind-blowing installation called “Landscape of Uncertainty”. We aren’t even sure how we’d go about constructing something similar, but we just knew that we wanted to try! How amazing would it be to have a show where the flow is exploding underneath us at random moments?
What we see in the video is probably made out of sand, but that would be too impractical to work with. Instead we’ve discovered that there is something similar to sand, it is used in film-making when they need to simulate sand, but is a lot lighter to travel with. On top of everything it is made out of wood, it is granulated cork! It feels very “on-brand”, we’ve always worked with wood in the past and this feels like a very good match. We’ll order some sample bags and see if it can be used for something
